VOTE NO ON INITIATIVE 24-03
LETS SAY NO TOGETHER PAC is a group of local residents and businesses that don’t want Everett to become inundated with frivolous lawsuits that burden local government and result in higher taxes.
The backers of Everett 24-03 want to try and convince you to amend Everett’s municipal code so they can sue any resident or business for any thing they believe violates the ‘rights’ of the Snohomish River, Port Gardner Bay, or the East Waterway. And they don’t want to have to provide scientific evidence as proof.
What’s important to remember is that the initiative has nothing to do with enacting any new standards for protecting or cleaning up the Snohomish River Watershed. It’s all about giving the backers the right to file frivilous lawsuits.
So why do the backers of Initiative 24-03 want an express lane to bring litigation against local residents and businesses under the guise of protecting the “rights” of the watershed. It’s a money grab!
We strongly encourage Everett voters to VOTE NO on Initiative 24-03!
